Its been awhile since I wrote, I do apologize
I am in my last year at clemson, with the prospect of a good job unfortunately it will be more than possible in another state so I am looking for someone to replace me as the president, this is not a hard job. You do news letters online like I am doing here, talk to people at races to advertise, sponsor races by usually providing funding by way of the club and so on. We dont put on races anymore so unless your motivated to do so you dont have to worry about that. A motivated runner who likes the web would be a great candidate.

plus we have a special one
On March 15, 2008 the Inaugural Legacy 10k Road Race and 1mile Fun Run&Walk will take place in the historic town of Tuskegee Alabama honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. We are also very excited to have been chosen to serve as the official venue for the 2008 Alabama Senior Olympic 10k Qualifier. That means that if you are a resident of the state of Alabama and you want to attempt to qualify for the 2009 National Senior Olympics in Palo Alto you must run in this event. However, the event is open to all.
We are honored to have as our official starters Lt. Col. Herbert Carter and Captain William Childs both retired Tuskegee Airmen. We are just as honored to have as award presenters Mrs. Alice Coachman and Mrs. Lula Hines Glenn. Mrs. Glenn was a member of the Tuskegee Institute Ladies Track team and held several sprint records in the 1940’s. Mrs. Coachman has the distinction of being the first American woman to medal in a field event for the United States. In 1948, the XIV Olympiad was held in London, England. Coachman qualified for the 1948 Olympic team with a 5 feet, 4 inch jump, which broke the record of 5 feet, 3-1/4 inches set in 1932. At the Olympic Games, Coachman had a back problem. However, she jumped 5 feet, 6-1/4 inches on her first try, a record-breaking jump for which she earned the gold medal. Alice Coachman not only became the first African-American woman to win a gold medal, but also the first American woman to win a gold medal in track and field. In addition, she was the only American woman to win a gold medal at the 1948 games.
So please join us as we salute these gallant men and women for there efforts that help change the world. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship fund and the Macon County Council on Retardation and Rehabilitation. You can find registration information at www.legacy10k.org. For more on my mission please view the attachment. Look forward to seeing you in March. Thanx…
Sincerely,
Stanley Moore
